Blog title: Mis à plat (French phrase which means “laid flat”)

This term is used in Haute Couture when after a fitting and adjustments of the garment, it is noted that the garment is mis à plat. This means it’s laid flat on the table, taken to pieces, adjusted and put together again ready for the next fitting. (taken from http://www.fashion-era.com/haute_couture.htm)

Just like in life, sometimes, we’d have to lay things in front of us to see the big picture and the smaller details… we choose which ones to keep, which mistakes to correct, which ideas to save and throw out and finally come up with decision that will determine and define the output.

This blog contains my learning experience in designing clothes, learning couture (dressmaking in english, pagtatahi ng damit in tagalog) its fine craft and its secrets.

Of course, with that, I’ll be posting my recent works as a designer and some wedding & designing related stories.

And of course… anything and everything else in between - leisure time, raves and rants, love and all that jazz.
